"Job Action Project"

At the end of May, the number of participants in the project was eight young people, leaving seven places vacant.

One participant is still scheduled to join the project after recovery.

In the month of May, we worked on the following project work.

Ritten Kindergarten:
The participants sanded a cupboard, replaced the drawer handles, and then painted it twice with white wood varnish.

Additional benches were also picked up from the kindergarten, dismantled in the workshop, and the individual wooden slats were sanded, painted with pine stain, and reassembled.

Finally, the team dismantled the mud kitchen for its upcoming restoration.

Louhans Kindergarten:
We are creating a "green seating circle" for the children. To make the stools, tree trunks were peeled, sawn into equal-sized pieces, and sanded smooth.

The kindergarten's outdoor area was mowed, and the hedges and shrubs were trimmed.

Furthermore, the wooden staircase, which was begun in April, was completed and installed as access to the play area in the kindergarten group.

As part of the socio-educational support, support plan discussions were also held this month to jointly review and adjust the goal formulations in the support plan processes. Furthermore, applications were processed individually with the participants, and a further safety inspection was conducted to refresh their knowledge and review the safety standards within the framework of occupational health and safety.

The German course continued.

"Job Action Project"

At the end of April, the number of participants in the project stood at seven young people, leaving eight places still available. Three young people were placed in jobs, and one participant began therapy at the end of the month. After the Easter holidays, we welcomed a new participant to the project.

In April, smaller projects were implemented for various institutions.

Ritten Kindergarten: The participants sanded and painted the seats and backrests of the large benches, then reattached them to their metal bases. Another project is the construction of a bicycle shelter. For this project, the participants inspected the site and measured the area.

Einselthum Kindergarten: A wooden box was built for toy storage. The participants measured, cut, and sanded the wood. The finished wooden boards were then used to create a box.

Louhans Kindergarten: The old wooden staircase was stripped of its old step guards in the workshop and then sanded.

Diakonie Kirchheimbolanden: Here, the participants made a wheel of fortune. After cutting, the wheel was mounted on a tripod and divided into different color-coded sections.

As part of the socio-educational support, support plan discussions were held again to jointly review and adjust the goals formulated in the support plan processes. Crisis talks and contact with the job center and debt counseling services were held on a case-by-case basis.

The German course was continued and the participants visited the migration service of the CJD Kirchheimbolanden.

The participants continued to work diligently on the project goals “Wooden railway for the Louhans kindergarten” and “Seating area for the Ritten kindergarten” in Kirchheimbolanden.

The wooden train set has been completed and has taken its permanent place in the kindergarten. The children were very happy and have already been busy playing with it. On March 27, 2025, it was officially inaugurated in beautiful sunshine, together with our participants.

To beautify the outdoor area at the Louhans kindergarten, a small bed was enclosed and filled with soil and prepared for the children to plant vegetables.

Work at the Ritten kindergarten also progressed well. The first finished benches were delivered. We are currently painting additional tables and benches. A large bench was dismantled and transported to the workshop. The first step involved removing the wooden struts from the seat and backrest, followed by sanding and oiling.

As part of the socio-educational support, support plan discussions were held to jointly review and adjust the goals formulated in the support plan processes. Crisis meetings and contact with the job center were held on a case-by-case basis.

Further application training sessions were held, and four participants were placed in internships.

Newsletter February `25

"Job Action Project"

At the end of February, the number of participants in the project was 10 young people, meaning that five places are still vacant. One participant completed the project by starting an integration language course, and the team welcomed two new participants in mid-February.

The participants continued to work diligently on the first project goals “Wooden railway for the Louhans kindergarten” and “Seating group for the Ritten kindergarten” in Kirchheimbolanden.

More tree trunks were peeled and sanded for the wooden train wagons. The train driver's cabin was completed and received its "headlights". The participants also carried out general maintenance work on the outdoor area for the Louhans kindergarten. This included clearing the area of branches and twigs.

After the preparatory work, the seating groups for the Ritten kindergarten were painted in different colors. The team also made three new benches with an integrated table. The wood was cut to size, sanded and screwed together.

In the training area, the participants took part in the units Occupational Safety / Health and the 2025 Federal Election - Wahlomat. The German lessons for our non-German-speaking participants also took place in small groups. Here, the participants were assigned to the appropriate courses according to their German language skills.

As part of the social-educational support, the first support plan discussions took place and the formulation of goals in the assistance plan processes were addressed. The participants also received support with the application process. In February, two participants were placed in an internship, and one participant will begin his internship in March.

All participants in the project went on a joint trip to the Kaiserslautern Master Crafts School for the "Training Day". Here, the young people were able to find out about the various training areas (including painting, metalworking, electronics, goldsmithing, stonemasonry) and even try out some of the jobs themselves. They found the stonemason training area particularly interesting this year.
