Newsletter March `26
"Job Action Project"
At the end of March, the project had 12 participants, leaving three places vacant. Two participants completed the project: one started school and one changed programs.
We welcomed two new participants. The initial focus for the new participants was on learning the basic fundamentals.
In March, our project to build a fire engine for the Eichenwäldchen kindergarten in Kriegsfeld was completed.
First, they went into the forest to cut down suitable wood for the further construction of the vehicle. Afterwards, the felled trees were transported to the workshop, the bark removed, the wood cut to size, and sanded.
After the team completed the basic frame for the vehicle last month, they moved on to the finishing touches. The individual wooden beams for the surrounds of the driver's cab and the rear bench seat were varnished several times with sanding in between, and then mounted on the fire truck.
The vehicle was also fitted with a dashboard and steering wheel, and the front panels were decorated with lettering and a coat of arms.
Finally, we installed the painted bench seats for the driver's cab and the rear seats. After that, the car was secured to three wooden beams and the tires were mounted. At the handover, the participants received much praise for this project and their successful work.
Updating the support plans and reviewing the goal formulations was a task of the social work support team.
Furthermore, we supported some participants with individual consultations, and assistance for self-help initiatives was initiated. Likewise, contact with the youth welfare office and the social psychiatric service was intensified in individual case discussions with the participants.
On March 9, 2026, we visited EKW GmbH in Eisenberg with the participants and enjoyed an interesting tour of the facilities. Due to current events, a training session on the state elections in Rhineland-Palatinate was held on March 17, 2026.
At the end of the month, we explored the district town of Kirchheimbolanden with the participants. Our visits included the local authority, the district administration, the job center, and various advice centers.
